Scene Incubator hits its sixth round. This time we’re leaning heavy, but the emotional kind. Three acts, all pulling melody and heavy riffs together, none of them doing it the same way.

On the bill this time:

Now or Later: Saigon’s rising emo outfit, channeling the eyeliner-era spirit of early 2000s emo and pop punk, think My Chemical Romance and Paramore, and running it through modern breakdowns and a crabcore twist. Their debut EP “Brace Your Feelings,” led by single “Thủy Tinh,” is loud, dramatic, and built for catharsis. Chaotic and cathartic in equal measure, their live shows lean into a DIY, garage energy that’s become a fixture in the Saigon underground alt scene, drawing emo diehards and curious newcomers alike.

Last to Feel: a fully DIY melodic post-hardcore and easycore project out of Ho Chi Minh City, written, recorded, and mixed entirely in a home studio with no label, no outside producers, no shortcuts. Droptuned guitar walls and explosive drums collide with soaring clean vocals, pulling from the golden era of melodic post-hardcore while leaning into modern easycore bounce. Breakdowns and choruses feed into each other rather than compete. Still a newer project with their catalog taking shape, but the intent is already sharp: heaviness with somewhere for melody to land.

rendezvous: started as a solo studio project from Phúc, built to experiment with soundscapes across metal, especially djent and post hardcore adjacent metalcore. A uni club connection grew the project into a full band. Inspired by Periphery, ERRA, and Polaris, their sound is aggressively heavy: low tuned chugs against uplifting melodies and choruses that hold sorrow and joy at once.

As usual, tickets are 200k with one drink included.
