Ciggarats are young, and they don’t dress it up. Formed in Hanoi in 2024 with a lineup spanning ages 14 to 20, the four-piece has been carving out room for music between classrooms and Grab shifts. “Dissolve,” the lead single from their upcoming debut EP “The Night Never Ended,” is the first proper rollout of what they’ve been building.

Sonically, Kiet Lac, Dung Cooks, AkiH, and Teppi draw on a punk foundation while liberally pulling from alternative rock, progressive textures, and pop. “Dissolve” is credited to all four as songwriters, with Kiet Lac handling production, mixing, and mastering at Guitar Plus Studio. Recording was tracked by Kiet Lac alongside Le Duc Chi. It’s a self-contained operation, and one that keeps the band’s voice intact at a stage where outside hands could easily start shaping it.
The visual side widens the circle. “Dissolve” was directed by Le Phuong with creative direction from hTomz of Antiantiart, who also led post-production, editing, and VFX. Luong Huong Giang of VisionaryKids executive-produced, with Manh LB on cinematography. The art department, run by Dung Hoang and Huyen Dieu, designed and dressed the set. A wider creative team across Antiantiart and VisionaryKids rounded out camera, lighting, and post. For a band’s first music video, the credit list reads like a deliberate statement of intent.
Enjoy “Dissolve” while waiting on “The Night Never Ended,” coming May 20 to all streaming platforms.
