District 105 Announce New EP with Release of “Bad Dog”

District 105 return with “Bad Dog,” a fierce continuation of their earlier EP and a prelude to Chapter II: THE HATED PROTECTOR, out November 21st. The track, mixed by longtime collaborator Sava Tomic and paired with a visualizer by Seventy Heptagons, pushes the band toward darker, heavier screamo territory.

Ho Chi Minh City’s post-hardcore powerhouse District 105 returns with a new single, Bad Dog, marking the next step in the band’s evolving narrative and sound. The track serves as both a continuation of their earlier EP released this year and an introduction to their upcoming record, “Chapter II: THE HATED PROTECTOR,” set for release on November 21st.

Accompanying the single is a visualizer lyric video crafted by Seventy Heptagons, the creative mind previously behind the band’s “Sad Melody” video. The collaboration once again merges the group’s intense emotional current with a visual language that captures their chaotic yet precise aesthetic. On the production side, Sava Tomic, a long-time collaborator and trusted hand in shaping District 105’s sonic direction, handled mixing and mastering duties, maintaining the raw clarity that has become a hallmark of their work.

Bad Dog” builds directly on the foundation of the last EP, keeping the band’s recognizable blend of melody and aggression intact while steering closer toward screamo-leaning vocals and denser, heavier passages. The song’s structure highlights what District 105 does best, balancing volatility and control, turning emotional urgency into something deeply tactile.

Over the past few years, District 105 have steadily carved their place within Vietnam’s underground circuit. Known for their uncompromising live performances and sharp songwriting, the band has become one of the leading names pushing local heavy music forward while connecting with scenes beyond their borders. Their previous tours and releases have drawn attention across Southeast Asia and Europe, setting the stage for what promises to be an even more assertive next phase.

The release of “Chapter II: THE HATED PROTECTOR” will coincide with Out The Run’s show Có Tai Như Điếc, Có Mắt Như Mù on November 21st, where fans can experience a live premiere of the new material. Tickets are already moving fast, and this appearance will likely be one of the last chances this year to catch the band before the new EP cycle fully unfolds.

Listen to “Bad Dog,” watch the new visualizer by Seventy Heptagons, and prepare for the arrival of Chapter II: THE HATED PROTECTOR on November 21st.
