Shallow Vessels Dive Into Uncharted Waters With a New Single “Lost at Sea”

Shallow Vessels emerge with their new single Lost at Sea—an atmospheric journey born from spontaneous experimentation. Eschewing traditional structures, the track captures the band’s playful spirit while charting new ground in Saigon’s growing post-rock scene.

Saigon’s own post-rock dreamers Shallow Vessels have just unveiled their new single, Lost at Sea. The track captures the band’s exploratory spirit and their refusal to be tied down by convention.

According to the band, Lost at Sea was born in the studio without a set plan, just the urge to create. Guitarist Angelo began experimenting with textures and tones outside his usual comfort zone, pushing into a more ambient, post-rock space. The rest of the band followed suit, jamming on fragments until the song took shape.

The result is a piece that drifts free of traditional structures, building its own current of layered guitars, atmosphere, and subtle tension. True to its title, the track feels like a journey, one where uncertainty becomes both challenge and beauty.

For Shallow Vessels, this debut is less about delivering a polished statement and more about embracing the joy of discovery. “We completely let go of any worries about traditional song structures,” they share. “The result is something that feels pure and fun.”

With Lost at Sea, Shallow Vessels establish themselves as a band unafraid to wander off the map. It’s a promising next step to a group whose sound already hints at bigger waves to come in Saigon’s experimental rock scene.
