Out of the Blue New ĐBB EP “Đồi Bươm Bướm”

ĐBB, a Saigon-based project, returns after five years with their instrumental EP "Đồi Bươm Bướm." Recorded through spontaneous jams, it blends post-rock, drone, and noise influences. Fully self-produced, it features bass by Trang Lê and artwork by Thanh Đỗ.

ĐBB is a band, project, and artistic trio based out of Saigon. Almost five years since their album “Nghèo Keo Dơ” they’re back with an EP titled “Đồi Bươm Bướm.” The release was made back in 2020 while the whole band was still residing in Vietnam. As on the debut, most of the music was made through spontaneous jams in the practice room. ĐBB wanted to capture the moment, so every practice was a chance to record.

This was in the works for a while, but it took some time due to life circumstances. Unlike their album, this EP is fully instrumental; listening to it, you might think of post-rock, it’s a bit drone, a little noisy, and a bit chaotic. Trang Lê worked on adding bass parts while the artwork was done by Thanh Đỗ. The release was fully engineered and produced by the band.

Have a listen, and we surely hope it won’t take another five years to hear new stuff from the ĐBB camp.
