Saigon’s industrial metal behemoths Black Industry have returned with a brand-new single titled “Something (In)Sidious.” A sudden, pulsing reminder that their creative engine hasn’t cooled even for a moment since their recent full-length release. This new track opens a door to somewhere unfamiliar, humming, and possibly much stranger.
While their signature heavy guitar riffs are put a bit on the side, the song leans deeper into sample-oriented sound design. Stitching together metallic textures, synthetic grit, and rhythmic fragments in ways the band has only hinted at before. Whether this marks the beginning of a new direction or merely an experimental detour remains to be seen, but Black Industry rarely plays in half-measures. Whatever’s coming, they’re building toward it with purpose.
For listeners who’ve followed the band since their inception, the shift feels meaningful. Born out of Saigon’s alternative underground, Black Industry carved their identity by fusing crushing metal riffs, industrial machinery-grade beats, and an aesthetic steeped in dystopian grit.
Is this a glimpse into their next phase? A standalone experiment? Or the first warning shot of a heavier, more electronics-warped incarnation?
For now, Black Industry leave the question hanging, and the single looping ominously in the background.
Listen to the new release and stay tuned for more updates.
