A Journey Between Beauty and Pain – Con Cá Điện Release New Single “Dark Light”

Saigon’s indie newcomers Con Cá Điện return with a hauntingly beautiful single, “Dark Light”. Inspired by the poem “Trời ơi”, the song is a poetic meditation on contrasts—where light collides with darkness, and beauty emerges from pain.

Vietnamese indie band Con Cá Điện have just unveiled their brand-new single “Dark Light”, a track that dives deep into the emotional space between light and darkness, where beauty and pain exist side by side.

“Dark Light” is written and performed by Con Cá Điện, with production and recording handled by Nguyễn Trọng Kha. The song draws inspiration from the Vietnamese poem “Trời ơi”, weaving poetic imagery into a sonic landscape filled with melancholy and grace.

The track explores the idea of opposing forces—hope and despair, clarity and obscurity, joy and suffering—and how they intertwine to form something uniquely beautiful. It invites listeners into a deeply personal journey, one that feels intimate yet universal.

Con Cá Điện have quickly carved out a name for themselves in Vietnam’s indie and alternative scene. Known for their youthful energy and experimental spirit, the band brings together diverse influences to create music that balances raw emotion with refined songwriting.

Their earlier singles, including “Vết Sẹo Sau Lưng” (2025) and “Take Your Eyes off My Woman” (2023), introduced their ability to blend heartfelt storytelling with layered instrumentation. Each release has shown a progression in both sound and ambition, and “Dark Light” continues this trajectory with even greater depth.
