Ethos is a Greek word for character. Back in the day, Greeks used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community or ideology. The Greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music and art to influence emotions, behaviors, and morals.
Call it what you want, but this is what made us and is still keeping us afloat.
Welcome to Ethos Collective, where the underground culture of Vietnam lives, breaths, and grows. Our mission is to keep it all under one roof, support each other, and share the art… no matter the form. Music, visual arts, photos, videos, animation, we are a tribe!
Behind every killer show, every in-depth interview, and every unforgettable photo, there’s the street team—dedicated to capturing and documenting Vietnam’s heavy music movement. They’re in the pit, behind the lens, and on the front lines, covering events, writing reports, and giving bands the spotlight they deserve.
From raw live shots to deep-dive articles, these are the people making sure the scene’s stories get told. Fueled by passion, they’re not just watching history—they’re writing it.

Founder and one of the leading minds behind the Ethos Collective.
Born and raised in Serbia, traveled all over and settled in Vietnam. He’s been in bands for over half of his life and is quite active in the metal/hardcore scene of Vietnam with his projects KAALI and Bedlam Royals.
Band t-shirt hoarder, spicy food addict, and a BJJ noob.
If you see him out in the wild feel free to approach him, he’s open to hearing a good story, accepts movie or book suggestions, and loves exchanging recipes.
Another Serb on the team, although he barely speaks the language, Milan grew up through his formative years in South Africa where he was very involved in the Metal scene as a vocalist, part-time guitarist and music journalist/Jager chugger.
Based in Ho Chi Minh for the past 2 years, Milan is now getting his feet wet in the scene, and can be seen leaning up against the bar at gigs, while at home he’s quietly working on a new band project. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on that soon.
A graphic/web designer and marketing guru with over 20 years of experience, he has kindly joined the team, very recently, to help with the web development and design in his spare time.
If you see him at gigs, make sure to say hello, he’s always looking for someone to drink and share stories with!
