Founded in late 2022 in the heart of Saigon, Resurged Temptation is a rising Vietnamese metalcore band quickly gaining momentum within the local heavy music scene. The project began in a rehearsal room, where its founding members came together to write and develop original compositions. Their creative synergy laid the foundation for what would become the resurgence of Vietnamese metalcore.

The turning point came in May 2023 when Dinh Bao Nam joined as the band’s frontman, completing a lineup that includes Nguyen Thanh Cac on rhythm guitar, Tran Hoang Phuc on lead guitar, Truong Kim Trong on bass and backing vocals, and Vo Phuc Hoan on drums. This formation brought not only stability but also a clear artistic direction.

Resurged Temptation’s core sound is rooted in metalcore, but their members describe their evolving musical identity as a dynamic fusion of melodic death metal and groove metal. Their music showcases crushing breakdowns, aggressive growls, soaring clean vocals, and riff-driven grooves that reflect the genre’s modern energy while honoring its foundational influences.

Each release introduces more refinement and depth to their style, from intricate guitar work and tight rhythmic foundations to emotionally charged lyrical themes.

The band made their debut with the single “Idiopathic” on October 31, 2023, a track that introduced their aggressive yet melodic signature sound. This was followed by “Break Their Rules” on May 7, 2024, which expanded their reach and helped solidify their position in Vietnam’s growing heavy music community.

Their most recent single, “The Power of Weakness,” released on March 9, 2025, was accompanied by an official music video and received notable positive feedback for both its production quality and emotionally intense delivery. The track captures the essence of the band’s sound — a blend of heaviness, melody, and message-driven lyricism.

Currently, Resurged Temptation is focused on composing new material and continuing studio work, with a series of singles in development. As they refine their identity and sharpen their musical voice, the band aims to expand their presence on regional stages and contribute to elevating Vietnamese metal on a global scale.
