Infecated

Death Metal
Ho Ci Minh
Formed in early 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Infecated began as a straightforward old-school death metal band. The original lineup consisted of Nhan (guitar), Toan (vocals), and Duc (drums), later joined by Hung on bass. This formation laid the groundwork for their raw, aggressive sound.

Members:

Cuong – Guitar
Hung – Guitar
Toan – Vocal
An – Bass
Duc – Drum

In late 2019, a major shift occurred when Nhan left for the U.S., leading Hung to take over guitar duties. Around the same time, Cuong joined as lead guitarist, and An stepped in as the new bassist. With these changes, the band gradually incorporated elements of thrash and technical death metal into their style, adding a more intricate and groovy edge to their sound.

Infecated first gained international recognition in 2019 with the release of a split EP alongside Japan’s Taste, released through Blood Bath Records. This collaboration helped establish them as one of Vietnam’s most intense underground metal acts.

Their long-awaited debut full-length album, “Predictable Death,” arrived in May 2024, solidifying their transition into a more refined yet punishing blend of death and thrash metal. The album showcased their evolution, incorporating razor-sharp riffing, relentless drumming, and a brutal vocal approach.

Infecated has built a reputation for delivering high-energy live shows, sharing the stage with major acts. One of their most memorable performances was opening for Cryptopsy during the Canadian death metal legends’ first-ever Vietnam show in 2019. More recently, they performed at Rooster Bash Party 2024, further cementing their presence in the Southeast Asian metal scene.

Looking ahead, the band has ambitious plans, including recording their second full-length album in 2025. If all goes as intended, fans can expect another intense release, pushing their sound even further into the realms of extreme metal.

With their dedication to refining their craft and delivering punishing, high-energy performances, Infecated is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in Vietnam’s metal scene and beyond.
