What happens when a producer who mostly lives in dubstep has a thing for obscure hardcore? Well, you get an obscure dubstep hardcore track! District 105 has just released a bonus track from their upcoming LP, not a usual route for a band, but who are we to judge? “Bad Dog (Agony Remix)” came out with almost no noise around it just a new version of a song you might already know, rebuilt by someone from a very different corner of heavy music.
The artist behind it goes by Agony. He is an American bass music producer, production tutor and ghost producer working across tearout, dubstep and techno, with releases through Interval Audio, Indefinite Recordings, Cyclops Recordings and FuntCase’s DPMO imprint. Much of his work happens out of sight. District 105 are no strangers to reaching outside their own scene too. They have a ton of previous collaborations under their belt, so this one feels like yet another adventure for the Saigon-based heavyweights.
